Chris Villasenor has practiced law for more than 30 years. Before founding the firm, he served as in-house counsel for a public technology company and public defense company, where he learned how legal decisions actually get made inside a business: under budget pressure, on real timelines, and in service of commercial goals. That experience shapes how he practices today. Advice is practical, plain-spoken, and grounded in what the business is trying to accomplish.
Chris is also an experienced litigator who has tried and resolved cases across three decades. That matters even for clients who never see a courtroom, because every contract he drafts is built by someone who knows how contracts get attacked.
A San Diegan since high school, Chris earned his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego and his J.D. from California Western School of Law. He is an active leader in the San Diego professional community, including serving as a group leader in ProVisors, a network of senior professional advisors.
