Overview

Mr. Villasenor is a business-minded attorney and consults individuals and companies in proper business formation and negotiation and preparation of most types of business, employment, consulting and real estate contracts. In addition, he has successfully prosecuted and defended complex shareholder, partnership, intellectual property, business, real estate and personal injury litigation matters at the State and Federal levels.

Mr. Villasenor’s diverse legal experience and business sense provide the essential ingredients to successfully resolve or litigate complicated business and real estate disputes. He helps clients maximize profits, protect their intellectual property and minimize their liability. He has over 20 years of combined legal experience successfully handling transactional and litigation matters.

Legal Experience

Mr. Villasenor has worked for two reputable mid-sized San Diego law firms representing major insurance companies in the defense of medical and dental malpractice, real estate, construction and product defects, and general litigation matters. He started his own law firm in 1992. Over the years, Mr. Villasenor has represented clients in effectively resolving and litigating hundreds of complicated business, real estate and personal injury disputes, participated in hundreds of arbitrations and mediations and served as lead counsel in over 20 civil trials.

Mr. Villasenor also has invaluable transactional experience in intellectual property and real estate matters. He worked as In-House Counsel for WindRiver, an Alameda based public company, in their Professional Services Division preparing and negotiating complex engineering services contracts and license agreements. In addition, he served as Corporate Counsel for SAIC, a large defense contractor, in their Real Estate Leasing Division, negotiating and preparing large commercial lease agreements across the country.

He has spoken at the Burnham Institute at USD on numerous occasions on commercial lease disputes and property manager / agent liability issues. He has also served as a judge for Moot Court competitions in San Diego.
